Footwear brand Etnies based in Lake Forest, California USA has officially landed in the Philippines last April 2014 and has rolled-out to 11 store location in Metro Manila.

Etnies was launched in 1986 in Europe by Pierre Andre Senizergues who ended his skateboarding career on the same year. He then went on to designing the shoe and building Sole Technology the company that produces and distributes Etnies globally.

Today Etnies is on the top 5 skateboard footwear brand in the world and has also satisfied the needs of the skatelifestyle public. Apart from high performance skateboarding shoes like; Marana, Highlight and Aventa which are all made of no rubber, nothing-but-Evolution-Foam sole that makes the shoes lightweight and cushioning skate shoe. Models like Scout, Jameson 2 Eco and Barge on the other hand completes the street style fashion, without going overboardly loud.

Etnies is also helping the environment with its “Buy A Shoe, Plant A Tree” program which helps reforest Sao Paulo, Brazil’s Atlantic Rainforest. Simply put Etnies will plant a tree for every shoe bought from a certain collection. Jameson 2 Eco is also a perfect example of nature conservation, this is the best-selling silhouette and it is made with recycled rubber and plastic for the PET shoe laces.

Etnies is now available in selected Planet Sports and The Athlete’s Foot stores in Metro Manila.
